Cypress

Taxodium distichum

Cypress wood makes beautiful and durable siding and trim boards. It has a light honey color that holds exterior finishes extremely well and does not bleed tannins like Western Red Cedar and Redwood. Retail or wholesale, if you are looking for an exterior siding wood that will hold a finish longer and require less maintenance, Cypress is the siding for you.

For interior use it delivers a look that is truly stunning. Extremely good depth of color and finishing qualities. When finished with an amber oil finish it will just glow. Can be used as paneling, trim or for cabinets. Reasonably priced when compared to hardwoods and has much more depth of color and character than most softwoods. Depending on the grade and the finish cypress can look rustic, contemporary, or very upscale.

The Cypress siding around this goal has been battered by thousands of basketballs and has only been refinished twice in 8 years. It has never darkened and did not need expensive chemical washing before refinishing!

All cypress siding and trim boards, as well as our interior patterns, are manufactured with great care. We straighten each board before surfacing or molding and re-inspect 3 times before the final product is shipped. Our molded finishes require very little sanding. All lumber is precision end trimmed and re-graded to standards above the National Hardwood Lumber Association rules. You end up with a product that is nearly 100% usable.

This much waste siding was trimmed out of this pile of siding! You only get the good stuff!

It all started out as #2 and better but grading rules allow material that is unusable for most applications. We treat your wood like it was going on our house!

We have an abundant supply of lumber in both #2 and Selects. We can provide a single board or multiple truck loads of lumber or milled to pattern product or beams in almost any size.
