SIDING, LUMBER AND BEAMS

Unless otherwise specified, all siding and lumber sold is true to grade. Some grades are proprietary and will be explained in detail with the order. Unless otherwise specified all lumber is kiln dried with the exception of beams which may be green or air dried.

While we do our best to remove any lumber that we consider unsound it is still a judgment call and you will undoubtedly receive an occasional board that you will deem unusable. For instance, our siding coverage allows for a full 10% waste factor so you should come out fine if the square footage was correct.

Please do not order all 16 or 20 footers when ordering lumber if random lengths will suffice. . Only about 50% of the dimension lumber is 16 foot long. Help us keep costs down by figuring out what lengths will work and order and use accordingly. Don’t cut 2 feet off that 16 footer if you have a 14 footer in the pile!!!

Make sure you use the correct fasteners and caulk. We have both! Don’t mess up a really good product with incorrect fasteners and caulk. We have everything from hot dipped galvanized nails to stainless screws and fasteners for nail guns.

SHIPPING

There is a $100 charge per unit in addition to the freight if we ship common carrier. Here’s why. We build a shipping pallet to match your bundle or bundles of lumber so they are protected from abuse during shipment. Each one uses about $50 worth of pine 2 x 8’s plus our cost to assemble. We aren’t making any money on these but we feel they are necessary to protect your investment. If the order is shipped on a commercial carrier you will need to have a forklift or other means of unloading the bunks of lumber. Actual freight charges are added to your order. Freight changes from week to week and many times what we are quoted when bidding your project are not what we are charged when we get ready to ship. Freight charges are estimates only until we get the bill.

PRODUCT STORAGE AND RETURN POLICY

Siding and lumber from Midwest Cypress will be delivered in weather resistant packaging and placed outside or unwrapped and placed under roof. We need to know how you plan to store the product. Product stored outside must remain off the ground on a well drained site and completely covered. Siding or lumber that has been wet, stored uncovered, cut, or is dirty may not be returned for credit.

TERMS OF SALE

On local orders with established companies we have standard net 30 terms. On long distance and custom patterns we usually require a 50% deposit with the balance before shipment. We take Credit Cards to make things go easier.
